Give Us Just a Little Bit of Time...
I’ve never spoken with Bryan before. I am not an investor in Braintree. As far as I know I’m not even an investor (unfortunately) in any of Braintree’s clients. I like to call people who I think have interesting stories and hear what they have to say. That’s the way I build my network of not only financial contacts but also potential friends.
1. E-Books: Creating e-books and special reports that customers download directly to their computers is a great first step for any aspiring e-infopreneur. Digital downloads are easy to create because all you need is an idea, the ability to turn a document into a PDF file and a service like e-junkie.com to sell the document on the internet. As opposed to producing a “real” book which requires an upfront investment for printing and production, the costs associated with digital downloads are relatively minimal. Of course, identifying a profitable topic and learning the “how-to” of producing and marketing your products for success takes both time and elbow-grease, but there are a number of books, websites and other services available on the web to help you learn.
It’s not as easy though as simply finding the hottest crypto startup, dumping a load of your cash into their ICO, and getting rich. There are just as many awful ICOs as there are reputable and ethical ones. So, you need to do your due diligence and research the company behind the coin offering.
Find your business sweet spot. There are only three pieces to this. First, know your strengths that are unique to you, or at least where you can add unique value. Then find a market, a group of people, who want what you have to offer. Finally, you have to make sure those people will pay money for what you have to offer.
“I have a double major in International Business and Marketing from the second-ranked busines school in the world, plus over 10 yearsreal-world business experience — the material in this program completely blew it out of the water. Thank you!”
I have read many posts and blogs on earning a million dollars or passive income. For some time, I wonder whether striving to be a millionaire for years or decades (as you wrote) it is the thing that people should be guided in life. Maybe it’s better to focus in life on what gives us pleasure and transform it into a business. If in life we make money on our passion, instead of attending to disliked job, we will make money, but it will not be our top priority.
5. The President of the Bank of International Settlement, admitted to the bar despite not ever holding a legal degree, was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for his volunteer war service, shot himself to death (many studies have connected insanity with success – how come no one recommends that path?!?). Alas, 120 GWII veterans kill themselves every week. Other ways soldiers self-destruct include depression, isolation, and chronic anger.
For example: If you need a new website, which looks professional and isn’t simply based on a template used by a million other sites, it pays you to hire a talented designer. Otherwise, it may take you years to learn how to write code and study design, to the point where you can do work as polished as a talented professional web designer. You ‘save’ nothing by either creating a crappy looking DIY website quickly, or by robbing your business of hundreds of hours of your precious time, to learn how to design a great site.
Folks, don’t confuse simple with easy. The principle of ‘spend less than you earn’ is indeed simple. But, like many other things, it isn’t easy; our current media inundation with advertising which begs, cajoles, pleads, ridicules, and browbeats us to spend, spend, spend makes it especially difficult to exercise the self-discipline required to abide by the principle.
Talk to me GREATS. Did you enjoy this episode? What was the biggest take away for you? What hit you in the gut and made you realize you weren’t doing something you should be doing? Or, what was the simple thing I talked about that you already knew you should be doing but aren’t yet? Share with me how you’re feeling in the comments section below.
I love like hearing all of your podcast. Right now I am only learning about business and the basics. I’m only 18 so I have a little time to look for something I’m passionate about. I’m just learning as much as I can, and I’ve already learned a lot from you! Thank you!
You probably can’t demand a raise from your boss, but there are a few simple ways that you can essentially give yourself a raise. Simple cutting out some of your major expenses, like canceling your cable or going out to eat less can save you hundreds of dollars every year. If you save $200 every month, you’ll find yourself with $2,400 at the end of the year.

At Accessibility Partners, Marlowe has found that hiring professionals with disabilities who want to work from home has enabled her to offer clients top-quality IT talent without requiring her to invest in creating a more traditional office setting for her team. “We can tap into very qualified, educated, experienced professionals who are eager to work,” she says.
I get BS e-mails all the time. “Make a million dollars buying gold!” “Make a million dollars in real estate!” “Here are the secrets to making a million dollars, revealed this one time only!” Then I click on the link and it’s all BS. Vague answers, some testimonials and then you have to buy a package. It’s all BS. The rest of this chapter is about brainstorming specific ways to make a million dollars, to do what Bryan Johnson did in less than two years. This is all just brainstorming mind you, and it comes from my personal experience and expertise, so there will be limitations on its scope. But it’s a start. It’s where I start when I want to come up with a new business idea. It’s where you can start, too. Note: every idea I mention below is an idea I’ve seen someone pursue to make a million dollars or more. Am I recommending these methods? No. But, again, they are starting points for brainstorming.
Not Harv. He offers a unique form of hard-hitting coaching – and as a Million Dollar Business Secrets student, you’ll get a dose of his “tough love” on this 90-minute group coaching call. Use the time to ask him your biggest question or get advice on your top challenge … or sit back and learn from others’ experience in the hot seat.
It is a lot harder when you only have one person working. Yet she has been looking at jobs lately and the pay is sub par. In fact one job was offered to her where if you do the calculations. Including gas, day care, and lunch she earned roughly 5 dollars a day. At that point it isn’t worth her working.
Entrepreneurs have crossed “the risk line” from the “Time-and-Effort Economy” to the “Results Economy.” For them, there’s no guaranteed income, no one writing them a paycheck every two weeks. They live by their ability to generate opportunity by creating value for their clientele. Sometimes, they — and you — will put in a lot of time and effort and get no result. Other times, they don’t put in much time and effort and get a big result. The focus for entrepreneurs always has to be on results or there’s no revenue coming in. If you work for an entrepreneur, guess what! This is true for you, too. Though you probably have a guaranteed income, it’s important to understand that the business you work in exists inside The Results Economy, even if you’re sheltered somewhat from seeing that. I say this not to make you feel insecure, but to show you how to succeed in this environment: by maximizing your results while minimizing the time and effort it takes to get them.
And you also need to have a millionaire mindset as well. You need to become a millionaire person before having a million dollar. Would love to feature your success stories on our site. Let us know if you do guest blogging.
Great episode, Lewis! Your guests are great, but the solo episodes work too. This was very valuable and I think it will help anyone who listens to it. Glad you mentioned building an audience – very important for being successful. After all, what good is your website if no one sees it! Hope you do end up doing an episode on building your audience as I think that would be really valuable as well. Keep them coming!
You’ll learn how to build a long term sustainable business in any field within 3 years or less. I’ve tried the course for about 2 weeks, and obviously I am not yet a millionaire but I am certainly ahead of where I was previously. I now earn 10% more than I used to and with a time span of 2 weeks, I think that’s pretty damn good.*
Siebold has failed with businesses over the years but has learned more from those failures than he has from his successes. Failure, he says, makes you analyze what you did wrong. Worrying about failure, however, holds people back from taking a chance and being successful. We shouldn’t be our own worst enemies – look at the rich; they’ve brainwashed themselves with positive belief so they’re not as afraid to take the chances and risk.
Network marketing often gets a bad rap. Because it’s a newer form of business system, many people look at it suspiciously and think of it as a scam. Initially, I felt this way too. But after dropping my prejudices and doing some research, I found many people who were sincerely and diligently building successful network-marketing businesses that made a positive impact on their financial futures and others’.
“What the wealthy have taught me over the years is to look at your beliefs around money, success, prosperity, and rich people,” he says. “Ask yourself: ‘Is that helping me develop more wealth and build my net worth, or is it holding me back?’ I think 95 percent of the population, in even the richest country in the world, have negative beliefs about money. After a year or two of interviews [for this book], I realized why I was broke.”
I agree! I have these traits and I’m doing well with my finances. But there is one lacking, Willingness to Share/Help Others. This does not mean that we are obliged to help others. We can feel it to whom we will offer our help. There’s joy from within if we can extend help to others.
LewisHowes About passion- Sometimes you do not know what your passion is. Unless you don’t do stuff or you come across things you love by chance. How to discover it in such circumstances? Or would it be wise to just take the leap and see how it goes instead of doing nothing? By the way the coolest podcast ever! It makes you HUSTLE! Thanks a ton!
It seems like there are as many definitions of financial planning as there are advisors. A complete financial plan starts with a full listing of your goals and values, identifies your priorities, reviews your current expenditures, reviews alternatives, develops appropriate strategies and solutions, takes the needed actions, and maintains a constant review of everything. But, that is beyond the scope here. Now, before Warren Buffett was a top earner, he learned how to be an Olympic class saver, saving the equivalent of $70,000 in today’s money while paying the tuition and expenses of college. So, let’s just talk about the most basic aspect of a financial plan… how to start a home budget.
The world’s most successful people are intense learners. They are hard readers. They know that what they know determines how well they see the world. They know that what they know determines the quality of relationships they can have and the quality of work they can do.
It means you should never make statements that include assumptions about the motivations behind someone’s behavior. Instead, you should stay on your side of the net and talk only about what you’re observing and your own reactions and feelings. That way, it’s harder for people to get their back up because you’re not devising rationales to explain someone else’s behavior.
Rule #4. Build trust while you sleep. This rule is often “Make Money While You Sleep.” But Bryan was already making money while he slept. He was making money on every credit card purchase with his first ten customers.
Fortunately, there is a way for you to get a free 14-day trial where you can learn how to do all these things, and no – you don’t have to be a computer science major to understand this process. All you need is enough computer literacy to know how to create a Facebook account, how to send and receive e-mail, and how to click and drag stuff.
I read that article, too. As much as I like to be an optimist, I must admit that I don’t think I’ll ever be a millionaire. I think I can do better with my finances and build a more secure future. But, I don’t think I’ll have a million or more unless I get really lucky and hit the lotter!
“It’s easier to get rich at 50, even 60 or 70, than it is to get rich at 30,” Siebold says. “There’s no question of that in my mind. Older people have the life experience that a kid just doesn’t have. Maybe [younger people] know more about technology, but we lived longer and know the ups and downs of life. In creating a fortune or financial independence, there are going to be ups and downs. Older people have a great, great advantage to get wealthier way faster. And it’s so ripe for the taking.”
A few weeks ago I wrote a post about how this was the year you had to quit your job. I gave the reasons why. It wasn’t a gung-ho “you have to be an entrepreneur” article. It was more: bad shit is happening in the corporate world and bit by bit you’re going to feel the urge to quit.
Those are all actual ways to make a million dollars online. I wouldn’t be able to tell you how to do any of that, but here is a way that I personally know how to make money online: trading in the stock market.
The goal is to help you make money fast … to jumpstart your business and get out of the gate quickly. Just like a body in motion tends to stay in motion … a business that’s growing its profits rapidly tends to dominate its industry.

Over the many years that I’ve been studying the human behaviors and psychology in business and life, and I’ve always been curious particularly about why people do certain things in the certain situations and how it affects their lives.
When you prioritize learning and recovery, then during the hours you are actually working, you’ll be in a deep flow state. You won’t be distracted like most people are when they work. You’re either 100% on or 100% off. While working, you can get more done in a few hours than most people get done in a number of days.
