This month, movie clubbers at Odessa Club will be treated to In The Mood For Love, from Wong Kar-Wai, starring the mesmerically beautiful Maggie Cheung.
The story revolves around two neighbours who begin to suspect that their spouses are having an affair. Unravelling their suspicions, they start to form an attachment themselves. Set in Hong Kong, this breakout film won awards on every continent, winning over audiences and critics alike, with its delicate beauty.
Irish filmmaker Michael Kinirons will present the movie and point out its merits to those who are seeing it for the first time. According to Michael it is only a holy scandal if you haven’t seen this film. Which makes him sound camper than he is, but that’s pretty much what he said.
