The best thing about Million Dollar Business Secrets is the simplicity. As Harv himself says time and time again, complex doesn’t work. But what will bring you in super-profits are simple, effective strategies that work in every field of business out there.
Module 3: Ultimate Marketing Strategies – We all know the importance of marketing. Unfortunately, most of us don’t follow what’s been proven time and time again to make you stand out in your chosen industry. And guess what? It works even if you’re working with a shoestring budget!
Decide on your exit strategy. The simplest way to make $1 million is to create a business, an asset that you can sell. People will often pay two times the annual earnings for a business. That means a $500,000 a year business can be sold for $1 million. That beaks down to having a business that makes roughly $40,000 per month.
4. The greatest wheat speculator, Arthur Cutten, left home at the tender age of 18 to find work as an entry bookkeeper but saved enough to buy a seat on the Chicago Board of Trade and eventually became one of American’s richest, whose dealings may have been one of the key causes of the great depression, died at 67 without ever standing trial (in law, like everything else, you get what you pay for).
Harris, I think it depends on several factors. First, I recommend having a well established emergency fund that will be enough to cover several months living expenses. This will help you cover any unexpected expenses and avoid taking out additional debt. Next consider other short/medium term goals. For example, are you saving to buy a house, do you need to replace your car in the next two or three years, etc. Finally, consider the interest rates of your student loans and what you may be able to earn in an IRA and decide which option is best for your needs. Investing for retirement now could be a huge benefit for you and your wife when you reach retirement age, but eliminating debt increases cash flow and gives you peace of mind. Both options are solid. Best of luck.
Grumpy Cat may not have made $100 million, but her owner Tabatha Bundesen admits, “I was able to quit my job as a waitress within days of her first appearance on social media, and the phone simply hasn’t stopped ringing since.”
The Cliff’s Notes version: In 2007, Bryan was a manager at Sears. He quit his job and started Braintree. Within two years he was making more than a million per year. Eventually, Braintree grew much bigger and raised $70 million from Accel and other investors.
In fact, it’s far easier to come up with a product or service you can sell for $10 to tens of thousands of people than it is to come up with the one big idea that you can sell to an investment company. Operating in the “million dollar idea” mindset can be very frustrating, because you have the desire to become financially independent, but you’re going nowhere fast.
Module 4: How to Generate Million Dollar Ideas Every 60 Seconds – This involves thinking big – and often outside your comfort zone. But even if this makes you feel uneasy right now, Million Dollar Business Secrets shows you how this is a truly learnable skill, allowing you to uncover previously un-thought of opportunities with huge money making potential.

Probably the ultimate speculative path to $1 million is via buying lottery tickets. While you’re far more likely to be hit by lightning than to win the lottery — National Geographic pegs the odds of winning the $1 million Mega Millions second-prize at 1 in 18.5 million — a small investment in a winning lottery ticket could easily push you over the magical $1 million mark. Of course, nothing is impossible. One Canadian man was both hit by lightning and won $1 million in the lottery.
Tobi Lütke, chief executive of Shopify, an e-commerce software company, developed a clever metaphor of a “trust battery” to signal to employees that everything they do can help or hurt their reputation for reliability.

Companies are sitting on trillions of dollars that they will spend if it creates value. People older than 50, maybe they’re retired or still working in the corporate world, have a lot of experience and expertise that they can sell to companies as a consultant. I have a question. I am 24 and I just started selling commercial insurance. My wife and I have about 70 k in student loans which we plan on paying back asap. I am going to have an additional 10k on top of my salary next year which I plan on saving until the end of the year and allocating it as I see fit. Everything I read says “compounding interest is the bomb” but then says “don’t save, pay down debt”. Now, I hate debt but I want to take full advantage of our young age and compounding interest. What would you recommend I do with extra 10k if we already put and extra $200 towards debt a month and we have an emegency fund in place? Fully Fund our IRA’s for the year or pay down a loan? I feel like there is no right or wrong answer. Your thoughts?

Now, a little over a decade later, e-readers, primarily the Kindle, have caused huge waves in the publishing industry. Even bookstores like Barnes & Noble felt the pinch of the digital publishing revolution, and continue to do so.
