ElderRoche, the Dublin/Berlin-based performer releases his 2nd album in October 2013, and embarks on a national tour.
In the three and a half years since his first album release, Elder has been invited to perform and tour with many of Ireland’s greatest musicians including Kila’s Rónán Ó Snodaigh, Mary Coughlan, Paddy Casey, Mundy and Damian Dempsey, and has also mesmerised audiences at intimate solo gigs around the country.
Nobody Knows (2009), his first album, received audience and critical acclaim. What the press said:

Members of the Robinson family with guest Sarah Grosner perform Purcells ‘Fantazia in 4 parts’ on period instruments. The Altered Hours‘ new single Sweet Jelly Roll was released on April 29th on A Records. The track had its premier on French music and cultural website Crumb Magazine, who said “this song is beautiful: five intense minutes of voluptuous psychedelia and delicate intoxicating melodies”. Kevin Doherty was born in Buncrana, Co Donegal. He came to music through records and radio rather than a handed down tradition. He was though, aware of the power of song – the rapt face of the singer gathered up from the here and now and transported to the romantic heart of the night. Six Stories and Half a Dozen Songs is a evening of David Donohue’s songs, with some stories thrown in. The idea came from David’s friend, Luka Bloom’s, who is a longtime fan of David’s songwriting and who encouraged David to return to the stage again. Luka will perform a handful of his own songs and accompany David during David’s set.
